The Very Basics
In order to input notes, press N. Select the note on the top, the timing, and left click the location in the staff to add it in. You can use the numbers 1-10 as hotkeys, and it’s strongly recommended to learn those because it makes the process much, much faster.
You can add time signatures, clefs, and accents from the side. You can customize a measure or instrument by right clicking on the staff.
Please title the piece the same way it was titled in the source PDF. If you would like, you may also add your name to the piece.
Once you have the piece completed, export it as MusicXML and email it to miladkbrown@gmail.com. Also reach out if you need any help getting Musescore to work. I’m here for you :).
